This is a plan for building a diagonal hanging wren house, this plan is based on one of our items and is a standard plan used by many. The material can be almost any wood but I find cedar works best for outdoor items, use 1/2 to 3/4 inch material for best results. Simply cut out your parts then assemble using glue brads and or screws or nails. TIPS - Pre drill parts prior to assembly Use weatherproof glue such as tightbond 1 or 2 for strength Assemble the house in sections such as the roof as one section Test fit your parts prior to assembly Make marks on back side of wood for less sanding at end of project and allways use pencil The size of the house can be adjusted according to width of boards for quicker assembly and less cutting example would be a 6" wide board could be used to make front and back of house instead of 5 1/2 cutting one to specific size
